May 5th Moonshine & Margaritas
“Shine and Dine on Bruce” May 5th means a kickin’ taste of Cinco de Mayo in the shadow of the Smokies! Pay one price and enjoy excellent food, cocktails and live entertainment from 4 to 8 p.m. on May 5th in downtown Sevierville.
“Shine and Dine on Bruce” is the fifth annual fundraiser for the Sevierville Commons Association. The Sevierville Commons is the area between the branches of the Little Pigeon River that flow around the community’s downtown area. The historic courthouse serves as an anchor for this area, and it boasts lovely shops, eateries, banks and other businesses. All proceeds from “Shine and Dine” will bolster great events and civic growth in downtown Sevierville. This community’s counting on you! Count on “Shine and Dine on Bruce” to make your Cinco De Mayo a blast! Guaranteed.
You’ll get a chance to sample a range of great food and drink from local restaurants and distilleries while you socialize with folks from the area and those just passing through (we have a few of those…ten million a year, give or take a few). You may discover a local restaurant you need to visit later after tasting their offerings at the event, and likely discover a new found love of Moonshine Margaritas! If you’re still around at sunset, you’re in for a seriously good time with the headlining 80s tribute band, The Breakfast Club. They travel nationwide delivering authentic 80s music with fabulous vocals and have performed for everyone from famous actors to NASCAR winners. They’re the real deal, serving up real talent! Before the evening is over, The Breakfast Club will get around to all of our favorites from the 80s for good times cruising back through good memories!
Tickets for this event are LIMITED! If you’re in town, stop in at the main branch of Citizens National Bank in downtown Sevierville at 200 Forks of the River Parkway to pick up your tickets before May 5. If you’d rather not take any chances on tickets being sold out, purchase your tickets online at EventBrite. You might not know that Cinco de Mayo celebrates what was considered a very unlikely victory of the Mexican army over French forces in the Battle of Puebla on May 5th in 1862.
