Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg Fall Craft Shows
The region surrounding Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg is chock full of artists, artisans, and craftspeople working in every medium imaginable. From fine artists working in a full studio with an attached gallery to guys who whittle bear figures in their spare time, it seems almost everyone is producing something beautiful, useful, or both. Beginning in the month of October, visitors to the area will have several chances to see the arts and crafts for themselves, and might even get the chance to see the creation as it happens. Be sure to check out one of these three fall craft shows in the Smokies:
Rotary Club Craft Fair
Date: October 1-29
Time: 10 a.m.-6 p.m. Daily
Cost: Admission by Donation
Location: Patriot Park, Pigeon Forge
This year marks the 40th Anniversary of the Rotary Club Craft Fair in Pigeon Forge. From October 1 through the 29, Patriot Park in Pigeon Forge will be filled with dozens of booths featuring a plethora of unique items from the area’s many craftspeople. Whether you’re looking for fall décor items for the autumnal/Halloween/Thanksgiving season or you’re trying to get a head start on your Christmas shopping, this craft fair is worth a look.
The best part is that you’ll be helping to support the Rotary Club. This event is the Club’s largest fund-raising effort and proceeds will go toward one of the many charitable organizations supported by the Rotary Club, like the Boys and Girls Club or 4H. Admission is by donation, so you can shop for yourself while you’re supporting the mission of Pigeon Forge Rotary Club.
Gatlinburg Fall Craftsmen’s Fair
Date: October 6-23
Time: 10 a.m.-6 p.m. Daily | 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Sunday
Cost: $7 Adults | Children Age 12 and Under Free
Location: Gatlinburg Convention Center
From October 6 through the 23, Gatlinburg’s Convention Center will be filled with nearly 200 craftspeople from all over the country who have come to display their wares at 2016 Gatlinburg Fall Craftsmen’s Fall. Many of these folks will be demonstrating techniques as they create their works right there in the Convention Center. They love talking with visitors about what they do, so ask plenty of questions. While you take in all the arts and crafts, you can also enjoy the live country and bluegrass music. You can pick up a few items and can learn something about the creative process while you’re at it.

Great Smoky Thanksgiving and Christmas Craft Shows

Location: Gatlinburg Convention Center
The Thanksgiving and Christmas Craft Shows run back to back beginning November 22 through December 4 at the Gatlinburg Convention Center. These two shows showcase the Great Smoky Mountain Arts and Crafts Community, located just a few miles outside town. Gathered under one roof rather than spread out over the eight mile Gatlinburg arts and crafts loop, these artisans and craftspeople offer some of the finest work available in the region. Walk the booths to sample the many items, buy a few pieces at the show, then head over to the Loop for a closer look at your favorite shops.
