June 2017 Smoky Mountain Competitions, Conferences and Conventions
This June 2017, large groups will be heading to the Smoky Mountains to participate in sports tournaments, talent competitions, educational seminars, association conferences and annual conventions. Many of these events private, but there are also plenty that are open to the public and you are invited to attend!
1-4: 2017 Mountain Hounds – Gatlinburg
Greyhound lovers unite in support of Greyhound adoptions for 3 days of fun in Gatlinburg. Event includes informational seminars, games & contests, Mountain Hounds Hustle, Greyhound Parade, nature walk and pet memorials.
2-4: 2nd Annual Southeastern Regional Basketball Tournament – Rocky Top Sports World
Regional basketball tournaments for boys grades 1-12 and girls grades 5-9.
3-4: 2017 Smoky Mountain Film Festival – Greystone Lodge Conference Center
Two-day multi-genre film festival featuring over 35 short films and an awards ceremony. Tickets available for Saturday & Sunday for $15, or individually for $10.
3-5: Gatlinburg Jewelry and Apparel Market – Gatlinburg Convention Center
Wholesale and cash-n-carry jewelry market brings 500-800 booths of jewelry artisans to 10,000 – 21,000 buyers from across the US and Canada.
4-7: TAPT Conference & Tradeshow – Pigeon Forge Conference Center
Annual Tennessee Association for Pupil Transportation conference & trade show featuring training sessions, networking lunches, President’s awards dinner and vendor show.
9-11: Rocky Top Challenge – Rocky Top Sports World
Girls and Boys grades 3-11 compete in a minimum of 4 basketball games.
9-11: MAGMA – Smoky Mountain Convention Center
MAGMA (Mountain Animation, Gaming, and Media Alliance) Gaming Event annual Pigeon Forge convention with a focus on gaming and multi-media. There will be gaming tournaments, exhibitors, artists, and industry guests as well as plenty of other interactive entertainment.
9-11: Bullseye Preparedness & Outdoor Expo – Pigeon Forge Convention Center
Family-friendly expo for everyone looking to expand their knowledge of the range of products available to help you get more enjoyment of the great outdoors. Many exhibitors will be offer a variety of free classes, presentations and demonstrations covering hunting, camping, hiking, emergency preparedness, homesteading and self-reliance.
11-17: Faith and Family Retreat – Edgewater Hotel Conference Center
Christian entertainers and speakers come together for a week-long of worship, sharing, fun and friendship.
12-15: Tennessee School Nutrition Association Annual Conference – Gatlinburg Convention Center
“Knock It Out Of The Park” conference training sessions, emporium, networking and fun.
12-16: 2017 TnSro Conference – Music Road Conference Center
Tennessee School Resource Officer Association Conference for school administrators and SRO/law enforcement/school security training sessions including mental health, school law updates, EVCO, personal health & safety topics.
15-17: House Hasson Summer Splash Savings Dealer Market – Sevierville Convention Center

Stage One is a National Dance Competition including Petite, Junior, Teen, Senior and Adult categories. This event is host to nearly 5,000 attendees annually.
22-25: USAB Girls Nationals – Rocky Top Sports World
National championship tournament for girls grades 2-11 with opening ceremony, pool and bracket play, and semi-finals.
24: 2017 Mountain of Laughs Comedy Festival – Greystone Lodge Conference Center

27-July 1: Platinum National Dance Competition – Sevierville Convention Center
