Smoky Mountain Winefest and Wineries
Winefest is a special event in the Smokies that locals and visitors alike look forward to each spring. This year is no different, and brings wine makers from across the state to Gatlinburg on Friday and Saturday, April 13-14, 2018.
The Smoky Mountain Wine Weekend will get started at 5 p.m. on Friday with a private wine tasting reception at Courtyard by Marriott followed by a guided tour through multiple Gatlinburg wineries. Advance reservations are required to participate in the Gatlinburg Wine Tour and can be purchased online.
Winefest continues on Saturday at Arrowmont School of Arts and Crafts from 1-6 p.m. Adults ages 21 & older can purchase a wristband online or at the door to receive their souvenir wine glass and enjoy the afternoon of wine sampling. Local chefs will be introducing you to and creating their favorite food pairings for you to try with your wines. Festival goers are also invited to attend the informational demonstrations and seminars taking place throughout the afternoon. A total of 16 wineries from across Tennessee will be represented and pouring what could become your new favorite wine. They are:
